WIDE OPEN MIC at the Poetry Night Reading Series on March 1, 2018

Please join us this evening for our annual wide open mic. We would love to hear your new work!

The Poetry Night Reading Series will reward the Davis / Yolo County poetry community on March 1 with a wide-open microphone. The performances will start at 8 P.M. on March 1st and last until about 10 P.M., with a ten-minute intermission at 9 P.M. All are invited.
Poets, prose writers, journalists, jugglers, and musicians will all join us on March 1 to share their words and performances. Carnival barker and Davis poet laureate Dr. Andy Jones will keep time, firmly limiting performers to two items or five minutes, whichever is shorter. We expect to hear from town and gown, from student and master, from the page and the stage. Should you attend early enough to add your name to the list, we will also make room for you.
The Poetry Night Reading Series, hosted and produced by Davis Poet Laureate Dr. Andy Jones, occurs on the first and third Thursday of every month at the John Natsoulas Gallery. The Poetry Night Reading Series is largely made possible by Dr. Andy’s insistently delightful interns.
