Judy Halebsky trained in performance studies at UC Davis and is a member of the Sacramento Poetry Center’s Tuesday night workshop. Her poems have been published in Runes, Five Fingers Review, and Ping Pong. Her recent book Sky=Empty was chosen by Marvin Bell as the winner of the 2009 New Issues Poetry Prize and is forthcoming from New Issues Poetry & Prose. Since 2007 Judy has been in Tokyo studying Japanese literature at Hosei University on a MEXT fellowship.
