Merlin’s acting work includes two seasons at the Royal National Theatre (both new works and classics) as well as appearances on BBC Radio and television and in theatres across the UK. Her publications include the best-selling The Complete Stanislavsky Toolkit, and her latest book, Acting: The Basics, was released in February 2010. She is currently working on an album of original songs entitled Barefoot and Guitars, and she is a professor of acting in the Theatre and Dance department at UC Davis. She performed in Jade McCutcheon’s play, Elephant’s Graveyard, at the Mondavi Center in Fall 2009.
