Please join us at 8pm on Thursday, March 5th at the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis for a night of poetry and other creative performances performed by local creative professionals and aspirants!
Attention all poets, musicians, and artists in the Davis and Sacramento areas! The Poetry Night Reading Series is holding a Wide Open Mic event on Thursday, March 5th at 8PM at the John Natsoulas Gallery on 1st Street in Davis. Join us if you have a original poem to share with a live audience, or if you want to treat yourself to an indulgent evening of poetry. Participants will be invited to perform a maximum of two pieces or five minutes, whichever is shorter. There will be 24 open mic slots, so come early to claim your spot on the program!
After intermission, expect a performance from the world-class a cappella group, The Spokes!
The Wide Open Mic for Poetry Night will start at 8pm and last until as late as 10pm, at which point we will enjoy the after-party at de Vere’s Irish Pub.
The Poetry Night Reading Series, hosted by Dr. Andy Jones, the Poet Laureate of Davis, takes place every first and third Thursday of the month at the John Natsoulas Gallery. The Poetry Night Reading Series is an entirely volunteer-run event. We hope to see you there!
