The Sable and Quill Authors from Sacramento!
Please join us at 8 PM this Thursday, December 4th, at the John Natsoulas Gallery (521 First Street, Davis) for Poetry Night featuring Jennifer O’Neill Pickering and the Sable and Quill Writers from Sacramento.
Enjoy an evening of spoken word by writers, all of them also visual artists, who have contributed to the Sable & Quill Anthology. The lineup includes Jennifer O’Neill Pickering, Kimberly White, Trina L. Drotar, Ann Privateer, Jeanine Stevens, Bethanie Humphreys, Frank Andrick, Jeanine Stevens and Sandy Thomas. The Sable and Quill Anthology was compiled and edited by Jennifer O’Neill Pickering and funded with a grant from The Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission. The book will be available for purchase; it includes the writers’ art accompanied by their writing.
The featured poets will perform starting at 8 PM. The open mic will begin at 9 PM, and the after-party at de Vere’s Irish Pub will start at 10 PM. You are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat and to sign up for a spot on the Open Mic List.
The Poetry Night Reading Series takes place at the John Natsoulas Gallery on the first and third Thursday of every month. Poetry Night at the John Natsoulas Gallery is an entirely volunteer-run affair.
