Dear Friends of Poetry,
Happy New Year! I’m writing to let you know that we won’t be holding a poetry event tonight (January 2) because of the proximity to the New Year’s Day holiday. Some of you, I imagine, are still recovering from your Tuesday night celebrations, and many of you will find yourselves outside of Davis for the first Thursday of 2014. We will return to twice monthly events on January 16th.
Thanks to all of you who have attended one of our poetry events in 2013. I really appreciate the support of John Natsoulas and Kerry Rowland-Avrech, who provide the Gallery and who open it up for us. I’ve also had help this year from Evan White and Corey LaRue of Absurd Publications, from Lane Berger, and from Rachel Riley of the great musical group The Spokes.
We have some ambitious plans for 2014, and we hope you will be a part of them. Thanks for your interest in poetry in Davis.
