Special Poetry Reading by Aaron Belz on Friday, June 29th at 8PM

The Poetry Night Reading Series is proud to welcome award-winning Aaron Belz for a special reading on Friday, June 29th at 8 P.M. He will be performing at the John Natsoulas Gallery at 521 1st Street in Davis.

Aaron Belz is an award-winning poet, critic, and comic. He is the author of three full-length poetry collections, most recently, Lovely, Raspberry (Persea Press, 2010). Belz graduated from New York University with an M.A. in Creative Writing from New York University and a Ph.D. in English from Saint Louis University. He has taught English and Creative Writing at numerous colleges, including Fontbonne UniversitySaint Louis UniversitySouthern Illinois University Edwardsville, and Providence Christian College. His writing has appeared in Cardus, Wired, Books & Culture, First Things, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Exquisite Corpse, Mudfish, Gulf Coast, RealPoetik, The Washington Post, Fence, Fine Madness, and Snow Monkey.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to the John Natsoulas Gallery to secure a seat, and to sign up for a spot on the Open Mic list. The Poetry Night Reading Series, organized and hosted by Andy Jones and produced by Pia Baur, usually occurs on the first and third Thursday of every month at the John Natsoulas Gallery in the Arts and Entertainment District known as Downtown Davis. The Poetry Night Reading Series is made possible by the support of the Cultural Action Committee of Davis.

There will be no reading on July 5th due to the July 4th holiday.
