Whitey Erickson Reads at UC Davis on May 4th at 8 P.M.

Local writer and performer Whitey Erickson will give a reading on Tuesday, May 4, in room 126 at Voorhies Hall on the UC Davis campus, at 8 P.M.

Erickson, a graduate of the UC Davis Master’s in Creative Writing Program, will read select chapters from his novel-in-progress Henrytown. UC Davis University Writing Program professor and poet Dr. Andy Jones calls Whitey “an amazing performance poet,” whose work is “funnier than, say, ninety percent of people in comedy shows.”

The event will be hosted by Joe Wenderoth, author of Letters to Wendy’s and UC Davis English professor. He promises, “No tedium will be involved in this event.”

Voorhies Hall is on the UC Davis campus at the corner of A and 1st, across the street from Guilbert House and the Athletics Annex.  Room 126 is on the first floor, at the Northeast corner of the building.

Admission is free. E-mail ccerickson@ucdavis.edu for more information.
