Dave Boles and Meri St. Mary Read at the John Natsoulas Gallery on March 21st at 8PM

The Poetry Night Reading Series is proud to welcome Dave Boles and Meri St. Mary on Thursday, March 21st at 8 P.M. They will be performing at the John Natsoulas Gallery at 521 1st Street.

Dave

Dave Boles has worked as an itinerant publisher, writer, and designer since 1981. His most recent publication, Confessions of a Black Ink Junkie, was published by his own Cold River Press in 2013, and other published works include Offerings (2011), and Homage of a Word (2011). Boles is the founder of such magazines as Primal Urge: A Journal For Diverse Humans, The Sacramento Free Press, Cruisin’ Magazine, Foothill Focus, and many more. His publications, editorials, writing and artwork have won numerous awards throughout his 30+ year publishing career, and he has published such noted writers as D.R. Wagner, A.D. Winans, and Ben Hiatt.

meri

Meri St. Mary was one of the original Hollywood scene punks, closely associated with the early Dickies and Weirdos, where she was known as Meri Housecoat. After relocating to San Francisco in the early 1980s, she formed Housecoat Project. Her poetry has most recently been published in Chiron Review #9, where she was featured on the cover, as well as Primal Urge: A Journal For Diverse Humans and Out of Our, Vol. 7. She has performed her poetry at many venues from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Nevada City, her current home base. YOU TORE US is her first collection of poetic and artistic works. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early at the John Natsoulas Gallery to secure a seat, and to sign up for a spot on the Open Mic list. The Poetry Night Reading Series, hosted by Andy Jones and produced by Rachel Riley, occurs on the first and third Thursday of every month at the John Natsoulas Gallery.
